About Golden Children

Cambodia is one of the poorest, least developed countries in the world – struggling to rebuild from decades of war, occupation and corruption.  Today’s Cambodia, while experiencing relative political stability, is deeply scarred.  Its intellectual capital has been destroyed and its infrastructure is nearly nonexistent.  The consequences are particularly grim for the children of Cambodia.  Many are orphans; many others are abandoned because their parents have no means to care for them.

Golden Children is dedicated to transforming the lives of orphans and abandoned children in Cambodia by providing housing, nutrition, medical care and education to these severely disadvantaged children.

The future of Cambodia lies in breaking the cycle of hopelessness and desolation by caring for these children – and in doing so, empowering a new generation to chart a new course for the country.
